Fee Regulations 2015 - 16

  1. The academic year having been divided into two terms, the tuition fee is collected in two instalments, one at the time of admission and other in November at the beginning of Second term.
  2. Fee once paid are not refundable.
  3. A student who leaves the college any time during the academic year will have to pay the fees for the whole year.
  4. Fine for late payment will be collected at Rs.2/- for the first five days and thereafter at Rs.5/- for the next five days. If the payment remains unpaid on the last day prescribed for payment of fees with fines the defaulter’s name will be struck of the College Register. If re-admitted thereafter he / she shall pay the fees with fine for all the days of delay and re-admission fee.

Note: 1. Those students whose parental income is less than Rs. 44,500 per annum are exempted from payment of tuition fee. They have to submit the income declaration form issued by the Tahsildar at the time of admission.

Scholarship and fee Concession:

            Various kinds of scholarship and fee concession are available to the eligible students.

A few of them are:-

A. Government’s Scholarships

  1. Fee Concession to students whose parent’s income is less than Rs.11, 000/- a year.
  2. National Merit Scholarship.
  3. National Merit Scholarship to the children of Primary and Secondary grade teachers.
  4. Scholarship to the children & dependents of Defense Personnel.
  5. Scholarship to the children of Government servants who die while in service.
  6. Post-metric scholarship to students belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and backward classes.
  7. Scholarship to the children of political sufferers.
  8. Scholarship to the Physically handicapped.
  9. Hindi Scholarship.
  10. Scholarship to School / College going children of Beedi workers.
  11. Sanchi Honnamma Scholarship to Merit Students.

B. Other Scholarship and Endowment Prizes:
        
         The following Scholarship / Prizes are awarded every year:

  1. Scholarship instituted by “Vinod & Chandrashekar Shetty Kapu Foundation” to the I, II, & III year Arts & Commerce students – three in each section (eighteen students per year) on poverty cum merit basis (Rs.1000.00 each).
  2. Sri Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty Education Trust, Madikeri Scholarship to the best students of the Final Year – Value Rs.1000.00.
  3. M/S Sulthan Chand Dropadi Devi Education Foundation, New Delhi Scholarship to the best students of I B.Com. i.e. from the academic year 2004 – 05 onwards.
  4. Bunt’s Sangha, Mysore – Scholarship to the best lady students of the First Year – Value Rs.500.00.
  5. Scholarship instituted by Sri B.S.S. Hegde, Banashankari, Kunjathabail, Mangalore in memory of late Belinje Kabbinalemane Rukmini Vittal Shetty to the best students who has scored highest marks in the Annual Examination of Final Year Degree Course Rs.500.00.
  6. Sri K. Sathischandra Hegde Scholarship to the best students of the year – Value Rs.800.00.
  7. Scholarship instituted by Yellur Kashi Santhana Trust ®. Admar to the best students of I, II, & III Year Degree class – Rs.300/- each.
  8. Scholarship instituted by Smt. Lelavathi R. Raikar in memory of her son Late Sri Deepak R. Raikar, Lecturer in Sociology to the students who secure highest marks in first and second year B.A. Sociology examination.
  9. Scholarship instituted by the students of 1997 – 98 batch, Principal, Teaching and Non – Teaching Staff in memory of Sri Deepak R. Raikar to the students who secure highest marks in Sociology in First and Second Year B.A.
  10. Sri Santhoor Samanadi Thimmappa Shetty Memorial Scholarship instituted by his son Sri H. Jayarama Shetty , Coimbatore to the best students of the Final B.Com.
  11. Sri Muddu R. Shetty (Saphala, Mumbai) Scholarship instituted by him to the best students of Second Year B.A.
  12. Sri Palimar Rama Shetty Memorial Prize instituted by Late Sri P. Lakshman Shetty, former Principal to the best students of II B.Com.

  16. “Vasthu Shilpi Sri Appannacharya Memorial Art Award” – instituted by Sri Ka. Va. Acharya, Retd. Drawing Teacher, Hindu Junior College, Shirva to the final year students who stands first in cultural activities of the College.
  17. Scholarship instituted by Palimar Rama Shetty and Lakshaman Shetty to the best students of the Final B.A. in memory of their Mentor Sri K. Muddu Shetty.
  18. Scholarship instituted by Non – teaching staff, M.S.R.S. College, Shirva to the best students of first year B.Com.
  19. Sri M.N. Jai Prakash Memorial Scholarship to the Best Kannada Student.
  20. Poet – story writer Sri M.N. Jaiparakash Memorial Merit award / prize instituted by Sri Ka. Va. Acharya, Retd. Drawing Teacher, Hindu Junior College, Shirva to the final year students who is adjudged as the best writer, i.e., stories, poems ect.
  21. Two prizes instituted by the students academic year 1985 – 86 for the best performance in Preparatory Exam of the year. One for Final B.A. and one for Final B.Com.
  22. Scholarship instituted by Sri Ram Charitable Trust, Mudradi, Karkala Taluk, for 10 students every year of Rs. 2500.00 each.
  23. Scholarship instituted by Yellur Kashi Santhama Trust (R), Admar to seven poor and meritorious students amounting Rs. 7,200.00.
  24. Scholarship instituted by M.S.R.S. Alumni Association, Mumbai for 10 Meritorious students amounting Rs.1000/- each.
  25. Scholarship instituted by All Cargo Logistics Ltd., to the poor & meritorious students.
