Archaeology Museum

The Department of Ancient History and Archaeology has been conducting independent explorations in the fields of pre-history, proto-history, epigraphy, art and architecture, rock art in coastal Karnataka and other neighbouring districts involving the students. A history museum was established in 1997 in the college with rare artefacts like pre-historic stone tools, pottery, idols and figurines, palm leaf manuscripts and inscriptions. These were mainly unearthed during field exploration.
